Welcome to the crawdadcrash.com website! Here you will find Crawdad Crash Bio and Music, along with information on Hodads, Fontanels, and other Friends (Buckofive, Roadhawgs, Dangleleros, etc.) with Crawdaddy connections. I've also included release credits, music links, and personal notes on songs, etc. I will try to post news (releases, shows, etc.) here on the home page periodically. Enjoy...
The new EP "Where Are The Rock 'N' Roll Girls?" is now available Bandcamp — just in time for the next Bandcamp Friday on 3/7/2025!
The new EP "Where Are The Rock 'N' Roll Girls?" is out! It is centered around a cover of the Hodads song "Rock 'N' Roll Girls" and features a few special guests. Check it out! See the press release for more info.
I convinced Dale that he needed to release the other tunes that the Dangleleros recorded, and the second EP came out Nov. 15. Terry Funk Railroad are currently playing 2 songs that had never been released -- until now. Check it out if you like rock & roll like The Rolling Stones. One of my favorites is the last song "Sandpaper", which sounds like a Replacements or Paul Westerberg outtake.
My heart goes out to those impacted by hurricane Helene. I grew up in rural NC, and the devastation there is just heartbreaking. Many friends and family in Helene's path from Florida, through Georgia, up to North Carolina were impacted. So sad... Please help however you can. I know there are numerous ways to contribute, including the official NC disaster relief site.
Crawdad Crash is now listed on AllMusic, and so are the Hodads and Fontanels. Submitting artist and album information to AllMusic via Xperi is sort of a "hit or miss" process with no feedback, but I must have finally done it correctly!
Terry Funk Railroad is returning to Vinyl (at Center Stage in Atlanta) to play at the 500 Songs For Kids 2024. This is for a great cause and is lots of fun, with each band getting up to play one song. Last year, we enjoyed playing a cover the Chambers Brothers' "Time Has Come Today" for the '60s Edition. The event runs over two weekends — '80s Edition on July 12 and 13 at the Earl, and then the '90s Edition on July 19 and 20 at Vinyl. TFR is scheduled to play between 10:00 and 11:00 on Friday, July 19. We hope you will get out and support the cause — or watch the livestream and hopefully contribute what you can.
Crawdad Crash is now on Bandcamp. You can preview songs, see lyrics and release notes, and purchase all albums and songs in a variety of formats (MP3, FLAC, etc.). When available, I will also list CDs and other physical merch there. Below is the Bandcamp logo that I will incorporate here on the site.
Heat Waves just posted a nice review of the latest Crawdad Crash album, Reign Of The Crawdad. Here's the direct link to the review — check it out...
I've uploaded lyrics to Musixmatch for all the Crawdad Crash songs released so far. Many streaming apps (e.g., Spotify, Apple Music, Pandora, etc.) will display the lyrics when you play a song, and at least the last two albums are already being displayed. It usually takes a couple of days to show up on various platforms. Lyrics work slightly differently on different apps. Below are a couple of screenshots of lyrics on Spotify; you have to scroll down in the app. Now you can sing along!

Bored City just posted a review of the latest Crawdad Crash album, Reign Of The Crawdad. They also did an interview with yours truly. Here are direct links to the review and the interview. Check 'em out...
The Hodads have released a new album, Live At Avondale Towne Cinema. The album includes a cover of Johnny Horton's "The Battle Of New Orleans", two songs never recorded in the studio ("Show Time", "Run With It"), and rockin' versions of many early and mid-era fan favorites. Recorded in the 90's with J.D. on drums.
Tim Gillespie and friends have an upcoming show. See details on Facebook.
TFR will be in full force (5 of us) for the Elzig Birthday Spectacular at the Moonshadow Tavern in Tucker (not to be confused with the old Moonshadow Saloon). See details on Facebook.
Buckofive has a new album out -- Suckerpunch Sessions, Vol. 3. It includes "Killing Time", "Wait So Long", and "9 Lives Girl".
Reign Of The Crawdad is out, and here is the press release. Several songs made it on the "most played" lists in the very first week.
